[...] On the other hand, the literature that accompanies Antico's work is of a very high standard, from Gillo Dorfles to Corrado Maltese, to Rossana Borsaglia and Paolo Fossati: a restricted number of attentive "interpreters" and, in some ways, the protagonists of writing, as, over the decades, this artist has been the "protagonist" of a way of approaching the image. He combines with the contemporary, a classical "manner" of resolving volume, disciplined by controlled relationships between the parts , along with a deeply questioning understanding of the present. This sensitivity plays not on the whole, but on the fragment, which alludes to the whole through the suggestion of a detail, pointing to a totality considered overstated: a form, therefore, reduced to a hint, enough to imagine endless possibilities.
